Up until Julian was born, I followed the same sleep and awakening schedule every night, almost like clockwork. At 9 o’clock, we went to bed. I would read or chat with Jules until we fell asleep. At 4:30 (ish) I would wake up, go downstairs, chug water, get coffee, grab my notebook and sit in my bedroom chair while I journaled, organized my thoughts and planned my day. Then I would read for 30-40 minutes and take notes on what I read.
